Imagine Your Book
WritingTurn a brain dump or plot idea into a full book with a cover, listing details, and Kindle-ready files.
Overview
Imagine Your Book is an AI book-writing workspace that turns a prompt, attached notes, or a plot brief into a structured fiction or non-fiction manuscript. It can generate a title, cover, description, and Amazon listing details, then export the book as EPUB, Markdown, or similar files for Kindle or other stores. It stays close to your source material, can fill gaps you flag, and can ask clarifying questions before it spends credits. Finished books can be rewritten, continued as a series with a story bible, or used as the starting point for a new version.

You have knowledge in your brain that could be turned into a book. Maybe you know a lot about fishing or cooking or have IT skills or you're just shredded as like me. You could turn this knowledge into a book in one evening and become a published author with the help of AI. You don't have to write the book yourself. You don't have to worry about grammar or consistency or get writer's block. Instead, we will create a brain dump of everything we know about a topic and put it into a template I have prepared. Then we will use a specific tool that turns these notes into a book with a natural entertaining writing style. It also fills in any gaps with missing information and creates a high-quality cover and a fitting title and description. And at the end we will even release our book to Kindle Direct Publishing together so that we can start earning money from it. It's free, it's easy, and if you ignore this, you're wasting your valuable knowledge. My name is Florian Walther and this is the AI Tool Corner where I review the latest AI software to find out which ones can actually improve our lives and businesses.
Now, the wrong way to do this is to go to ChatGPT or Claude and tell it to write me a book about my topic. Because this is how you create slop. There is no reason anyone would read this. The correct approach is to create a brain dump of everything you know about a topic because this is how you add your unique view and spin and make reading the book worthwhile. That's why I prepared this template. I will put the link into the video description below. Get it from there. And one more tip, instead of writing all these notes by hand, speak them out using a voice dictation tool like Wispr Flow. Again, I will put the link to it into the video description. You can download it from there. Super helpful.
So, you download this template and you replace this placeholder here for the topic you want to create a book about. Then we have some instructions for the AI and down here we put our notes where these placeholders are. Here's an introduction if you want to have one in your book and then we have our topics and subtopics. For example, diet, exercise, and so on. And then you just put everything you know as notes in here. And you don't have to perfectly organize it. As long as the information is in this document, the AI will figure it out. So technically, you don't even have to organize this into topics. You can just start rambling everything you know into bullet points. I will show you an example of a filled-out document in a second. One more thing I've added is an instruction to the AI to insert placeholders for fitting images. Because the tool we will use can't yet automatically add images, we have to do this ourselves in a later step. So instead, I told the AI to add placeholders for images where I instructed to.
Here is an example of a filled-out document. So this contains a brain dump of everything I know about building a lean aesthetic physique as a natural weightlifter or bodybuilder, including training, diet, supplementation, and lifestyle. Then we have our AI instructions, and then we have a big list of notes. I just sat down with Wispr Flow and dictated everything I know about this topic into this document. How much you add here is up to you. You can add only a few notes and let the AI fill in the rest, or you can sit down for an hour and really dictate everything you know. The more information you put in here, the better. And here in the intro section, I also wrote add a placeholder for an image of my physique somewhere fitting early in the book. So this is an instruction for the AI to add an image placeholder where I will later put a photo of my own physique. You will see how exactly this works in a second. It's super simple. You can also mix information and AI instructions in your notes. For example, here I wasn't sure what exactly to recommend for warm-up sets. So I told the AI include some instructions about warm-ups, i.e. how many and at what percentage of the working weight they should be done. And instead of me having to figure this out, the AI will figure it out. So if there's anything you don't know, you can just let the AI fill in the gaps and give more specific notes for the things that you do know. Again, the template document is in the video description below. And as an additional tip, you can open ChatGPT or Claude, attach your notes, and ask it if there's anything important missing in here, and let it fill in the gaps. But this is not essential, and I already did this step.
To write the book, we will use imagineyourbook.com. I compared different AI book writing tools, and this was the best one by far. It was the closest to my input notes and had the best writing style. I will put the link to it into the video description below. You get free credits when you sign up, which are enough to write one large book, so give it a try. The only thing that bothers me about this website is that the UI is a bit confusing, but up here we can choose the size of our book. I'm going to select 40K words, which is a large book. If you are unsure, you can also put your notes into ChatGPT or Claude and ask it how long the book should be. Click down here on this icon to attach your notes, and for the prompt I add, "Create a non-fiction book based on the attached document." Very simple. And if you want to write a fiction book, I have a separate video on that, which I will later link in the end card, so stay tuned.
Then down here we have different settings. Title, subtitle, we can leave this empty to let the AI generate a title for us, which is what I will do. And for the byline, so my author name, I enter my real name. We can let it detect the language, but we already know that it's supposed to be English. And for the engine, we can actually use the cheaper one, which is good enough. We don't need anything else. For the genre, we will select self-help and maybe fitness nutrition. For the tone, I'm going to enter clear and practical, and maybe conversational. You can enter whatever you want. POV, I'm going to write, "Speak to the reader directly in second person, so you." We don't have any romance in our fitness book, so we can ignore that. Themes and people are only really relevant for fiction. We don't want to ban any words and age maybe 16 plus. We can also link to an offer or leave a reader note. Don't need any of this. Double-check our input. Looks good to me. Let's send this and the AI starts writing our book. It gives the book a good structure and then fills in all the information with the knowledge from our note document. This takes a few minutes, but the quality is very high. If there is anything unclear in your notes or prompt, the AI will even ask you clarifying questions back before it starts writing the book to make sure you don't waste any credits. It's not happening here because our notes are clear, but it's a super useful feature.
And there is our finished book with a cover, title, subtitle, description. Looks super cool, super professional. If you don't like the cover and you want something changed, you can click here on edit cover and prompt a change to generate a new one, but I think this one is pretty good. We have different options here like revising the book, creating a next book in a series, or rewriting it with the same prompt. We will take a closer look at these options later. We can already see that the writing style of the description is really good and natural. And down here we have these Amazon listing details. These will be relevant later when we publish our book on Amazon Kindle. Then we can download our book in different output formats. Let's download the EPUB version. EPUB is an ebook and that's also what we later upload to Kindle. Let's download this and we can open this book for example in the Kindle Previewer, which is a free tool. Again, the link is in the video description. You can download it from there. Open your ebook in here and then we can preview it. And as you can see, it looks super professional. We have a copyright notice. We have this front matter and even a dedication. For everyone making room for a stronger, healthier self without giving up the people and moments that make life worth living. And then we have our different chapters. Let's read a little excerpt. Your training plan needs to fit between finishing work and making dinner, not into six empty evenings you do not have. Yet, much of the fitness advice you encounter assumes that training, meal preparation, and recovery can organize your entire day. Add a few conflicting videos about carbohydrates and supplements, and unmanageable goals starts looking like a second occupation.
Let's see what else do we have in here. We have this hierarchy, consistency, adequate resistance training stimulus, calories, and so on. And all of this information is coming from my input notes. We can find the same hierarchy down here. Consistency, adequate resistance training stimulus, and the book is very close to the notes because the point of my notes was to build your training and nutrition in a way that it doesn't occupy your whole life. And this is exactly what this book focuses on. It explains the exact same things as my notes, just with full sentences and in a proper writing style. And this doesn't sound AI written at all. It's very natural, very human, and creative. And the reason why I picked Imagine Your Book over another tool is because it stays very close to the input notes. Everything I mentioned in my markdown document will be explained in here, and there's nothing left out. There are also no hallucinations or false claims as far as I checked it, and the structure is very good, and it's a fully blown book. Check out the supplements listed here. Those are the exact supplements I also mentioned here in the supplement section. Caffeine, creatine, beta-alanine, omega-3, and so on. And the exact same items are listed here with additional information because I told AI to fill in the information that I didn't write down myself, like possible cautions or side effects. And again, in your notes, you can mix information, so stuff you already know with prompts for the AI. For example, here I wrote, "Organize these rough notes into an easy-to-read format like a table and extend and add missing information." And this is exactly what it did. Organized it into a table and added missing information. This way we make sure that our book is actually complete. What I also really like is that the AI incorporates storytelling elements like here where it talks about this hypothetical 38-year-old woman because storytelling is very important to keep readers hooked. And the AI does this really well. And remember in the input notes we told it to add image placeholders that we will then replace for our own images and this is exactly what it did in these scrap records.
So, the next step is to add these images. And also, the only thing that's not perfect about this book is that there are these little icons here. I think they shouldn't be here because this can't be clicked or expanded. So, let's remove them in a second step and add our images. So, what we are going to do is we download our book again but as a markdown file. Markdown is this simple format which contains different formatting like headlines and bold text, but it's a great format for AI to work with. So, let's save this on our computer. We just press control S, save the markdown file. Now, to insert the images and remove these little icons, I'm going to use Cursor which is a coding agent, but you can use any other AI for that. You can also use ChatGPT or Claude, but it works really well with Cursor. You can download Cursor for free. Again, I put the link into the video description. And now, we just drag and drop our markdown file into Cursor so that we can work with it here. Press control I which opens the AI agent chat. And now, I just tell the AI replace all image placeholders in this book markdown file with the attached image files. I've prepared these images, a few exercise images, and the physique photo. I'm just going to drag and drop them into the agent window. I created these exercise images using Nano Banana in Google AI Studio, but you can use any image generation AI. GPT is also pretty good. Let's send this message to the agent and it will get to work. The agent automatically figures out what is contained in these images and where they belong. You don't even have to explain it. And I really like Cursor because it has this diff viewer. It shows the changes it made to the document. So, it replaced this image placeholder for the actual image. And down here, it replaced the exercise instruction placeholders for the exercise images. So, this worked really well and in the preview, we can see the final result. So, it put this image here and here are the exercise instructions. Super cool.
I want to do one more step. I asked the agent, "Are there any glitches/inconsistencies left in the document that need to be cleaned up? If yes, go ahead and fix them." Meanwhile, let's also download the cover file because the cover is not included in the markdown file. So, download. So, there were some glitches in our document, but Cursor fixed them. For example, my X handle at the end was broken down here and it corrected it and some other small things. But now our book is finished. Now we only need to turn this back from markdown into an EPUB file. There are different converters for that online, but actually we can just tell Cursor to do it for us because it can write arbitrary scripts and creating an EPUB file is easy for it. So, I tell it, "Looks good. Please turn this into an EPUB with nice formatting. Use the attached cover." So, we also drag and drop the cover we just downloaded into the chat. Send this and now it will turn it into an EPUB file. And here is the final ebook with the corrections and images. It also added a table of contents, which I like. I think it's useful. And now we actually have our images here. Super cool, super professional and it removed any glitches that we have left in the text. And now we have a high-quality book that encapsulates our knowledge, the knowledge that we put into our notes, and it rephrased it as a well-written, consistent, long book.
Now it's time to release our book, and this is easier than you would think. As you can see, I've already done this in the past. Only takes a few minutes to set up, and then your book will be approved within 72 hours. So, we go to the KDP website. Again, I will put the link into the video description below. You have to create an account here, and then we click on create new title or series. We want to create an ebook for now. We can later actually turn our book into a real physical book, and you can hold it in your own hands. Super cool, but for now let's create an ebook because this is the fastest to get out. And then we just have to fill out some information here. The book language is English, and the remaining information we can just copy from our book metadata here. So, the title is Get Lean, Get Strong, and Still Have a Life. This is the subtitle. We can turn this into a series of multiple books, but we'll leave that for now. Edition number is optional. The author name is my real name. No additional contributors, and for the description we can just copy the description we have here. It couldn't be easier. Publishing rights, I own the copyright. No explicit material, and for the reading age we don't have to select anything because this is only for children's and young adults books. Primary marketplace, amazon.com, and then we set the categories, and again we get help down here in our Amazon listing details. Down here are the categories that are recommended for this book. So, we select health, fitness, and dieting. This is what is suggested here. Then exercise and fitness, and then weight training. Perfect. Then we add another category. The second one is again health, fitness, and dieting, exercise and fitness, and this time bodybuilding, but I can't find it here. So, these categories seem to be not up to date, which is fine. We can also figure these out ourselves. For example, we can select nutrition because we also cover that topic. Let's select general. And we need one more category. Again, let's go with health, fitness, and dieting. Diets and weight loss sounds good, and diets. And maybe here we select weight loss. It doesn't have to be perfect, and we can always change this later. And then keywords. Again, we have them suggested here, so we can just copy them over here. Pretty simple. There we go. I'm ready to release my book now. Save and continue.
Then the most important part, we upload the book itself. That's the EPUB file that we fixed in Cursor. Yes, apply digital rights management. We upload the cover as well. There we go. And then we have to disclose AI-generated content, and you can be honest here. Even if your book was fully AI-generated, it will still be released and available. It's no problem. Let's select entire work was AI-generated with, well, minimal editing, if we are honest. And here I'm going to enter the tools we used, Imagine Your Book, ChatGPT, and Cursor. The same for the images, many AI-generated images with minimal editing, and I used Google AI Studio for it. We don't have any translations. We don't need an ISBN. And all our images include alternative text. Those are the little captions it put below the image. They should suffice, so we can select all images here and continue. This is the last step. Almost done. Enroll in KDP Select. All territories. Primary marketplace. Then you can select the royalty plan, 35% or 70%. You can click here on how does pricing and royalties work for an explanation, but basically 70% is only possible in this price range, three bucks to 13 bucks. And I'm going to price this book at $4.99. You can enter whatever price you deem reasonable. It's converted automatically for the different platforms and currencies, and that's it. Finally, we publish our book. It's not available immediately. It takes up to three days for it to be approved, but that shouldn't be any problem.
As you can see, this book was already approved, so let's check it out on Amazon US, and there it is. Florian Walther is the author of this book. I used the same notes for this one, but it gave it a different title, which is also pretty good, The Strength Hierarchy, with this really cool cover. And everything in here, description, we can read a sample. Super cool. Just like that, we are a published author. You can now go ahead and also create a paperback or even a hardcover version of your book, and this is printed on demand, which means that you don't have any costs in advance. You don't need to keep inventory. This is all handled by Amazon. I will also put the link of this book into the video description below if you want to check it out and read it yourself. And when I read the first version, I actually learned new things that the AI added on top of my notes, which helped me understand my own topic even better. So, check out the book if you want. You will learn a lot about fitness and nutrition. And again, I know what I'm talking about because I'm pretty ripped. Not trying to brag, just saying.
Now, if you ever want to update your book, just open it here on Imagine Your Book, click on Rewrite Manuscript, which selects the manuscript rewrite mode. It attaches the existing book here, and then you can add a prompt to rewrite the book, rewrite sections, add new sections on top. And this way you can update your book if you later have additional information that you want to put in there. So, the first version doesn't have to be perfect. You can always update it, and on Kindle, you can just edit your book here, like updating the book content, and all you have to do is upload your updated manuscript, and then you can release a new version of your book. You can also turn this into a whole book series by clicking on write the next book. This switches to the series builder mode. It adds a prompt to write the next book after this one, and it gives some instructions to make sure that the second version actually builds upon the first one, and you can turn this into a whole series. For example, I could release another book specifically about nutrition or a more specific subtopic. This is also very useful for fiction books where we have multiple books in your story. Again, I have a separate video where we create a fiction book. I will link it at the end of this video, so stay tuned. And if we don't like the first version of our book, we can also click on try a new version, which basically adds the same prompt that we originally gave it with all the notes attached again, and then you can try again, maybe with a different size, but so far the first version has already been pretty pristine.
And down here, we also have suggestions for follow-up books based on our existing books. So, I can click on one of these suggestions, use this idea, and it fills in the prompt. But I would always base these books on another brain dump with notes to make sure it's personalized and contains our specific knowledge. The tool also has this illustrations feature where you can generate images. Again, the AI currently can't put them into the book itself. Instead, you have to do it yourself like we did earlier in the video, but this is more useful for fiction books. If you are lacking ideas, there's also this book generators page where you have a list of different topics and prompts that you can use to start your own idea. So, it adds the simple prompt create a biography about person. You replace this, and then you can generate a book from that. In the gallery, you can also see examples of books others have written. They are free to read for you. You can check them out and see what's possible and what prompt they used as inspiration. You can even click here on create a new book in studio, which again copies the same prompt into the input box. The link to Imagine Your Book and all the other tools we used in this video are in the video description below. You get free credits when you sign up and you can also use all these other tools for free, so try it out yourself. And if you want to learn how to write a fiction book, check out this video here next where we do exactly that. It's super entertaining.

Verdict
Imagine Your Book is strongest when you bring a real brain dump or a detailed plot and want a dedicated book engine instead of asking a general chatbot to invent a manuscript. It is a fast way to get a complete draft, cover, and Kindle-ready files, but you should still review the text, insert any images yourself, and clean up leftover formatting before you publish.
FAQ
Can Imagine Your Book write both fiction and non-fiction?
Yes. You can attach notes for a knowledge book or describe a novel plot in the prompt. Genre, tone, point of view, and related controls help steer either workflow, and fiction books also get a story bible for sequels.
How is this different from ChatGPT or Claude?
A general chatbot can draft chapters, but Imagine Your Book is built for long manuscripts: it plans structure, keeps closer to your notes, generates a cover and listing details, exports ebook files, and maintains a story bible for series continuity.
Can I publish the book on Amazon Kindle?
Yes. You can download an EPUB and cover, then upload them to Kindle Direct Publishing. The tool also generates suggested Amazon categories, keywords, and a description you can copy into the KDP form. Review the manuscript and disclose AI-generated content as required.
Can it add images to the book automatically?
Not yet. You can ask it to insert image placeholders, generate illustrations separately, and then place those images into an exported Markdown file with another editor before converting back to EPUB.
Can I write a series or update a finished book?
Yes. Rewrite Manuscript can revise or expand an existing book, Try a new version reruns the original prompt, and Write the next book uses series-builder mode with the story bible so the follow-up continues from the first book.
Is Imagine Your Book free?
You can start with a trial that includes a first book after signup. Continued use is on paid credit plans that scale with how many words you generate each month.
